BRIEF INTRODUCTORY VIDEO

Meet The Instructors

Whether it is instructors directly employed with the Advent Defense League, or through invited guest instructors, all of them have one thing in common: To bring you Christ-centered, quality, and biblically sound instruction in theology, evangelism, and especially apologetics just as they do at the university level! All this to equip you to teach the truth and to win souls to Christ as you engage in bible studies and evangelism.

Edwin M. Cotto

Edwin is an ordained elder and bible worker with the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and is the founder of the Advent Defense League. In addition to teaching at the college level in the medical field, he travels conducting evangelistic/apologetics trainings. His passion is seeing people draw closer to Christ and defend Bible truth.

Pastor Kevin Morgan

Kevin is a pastor with the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and an editor with TEACH Services Inc. He has authored several books but is best known for his careful critique of the popular plagiarism charge against Ellen G. White. His famous book White Lie Soap is a ready resource for anyone seeking how to respond to the plagiarism charge.

Dr. Dojcin Zivadinovic

Dojcin is a guest instructor with ADLA and is a professor of Religion at Weimar University in California. He obtained his PhD in Church History at Andrews University. He has published several theological articles and has appeared in several television broadcasts. He has a passion for theology and apologetics, and frequently teaches with the Advent Defense League.

Dr. Jason Thomas

Elder Jason is an instructor with ADLA and serves as a leadership director. He has earned his Doctor of Music degree from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music (MSM), where he was a scholarship student. His passion for music has lead him to dedicate his talents to serving God and preaching the unadultarated Bible truth.

Dr. Roy Gane

Roy is a guest trainer with ADLA and believes in the effort of leaders and laymen working together for the cause of Christ. He is professor of Hebrew Bible & Ancient Near Eastern Languages at Andrews University and has authored several resources, including Who’s Afraid of the Judgment? and an NIV Application commentary on the book of Leviticus and Numbers.

Eugene W. Prewitt

Eugene is a guest trainer with ADLA and directs the Institute of East Asia Training. He has been teaching Bible on the college level since 1996 and, in his associations with organizations like AudioVerse.org and Generation of Youth for Christ, he’s been able to reach ever growing audiences with Bible truth. His saying is, “I teach the Bible,” and that is what he does with ADLA as well.

Christopher Sernaque, NCPT4

Christopher is a creation scientist, apologist with ADLA, and a manager of Christ Jesus Ministries LLC. Having studied Psychology/Forensic Science at Ashworth College, Christopher has a passion for defending the truth, and has interviewed on his podcasts individuals like Dr. Stephen Meyer, Dr. James Warner Wallace, and others.

Pastor John T. Anderson

John is a long time pastor, business owner and guest trainer with ADLA. He has also authored several books, specializing in the Three Angel’s Messages and the Investigative Judgment. One of his well known apologetic books is called Investigating the Judgment which has proved to be a ready resource for anyone seeking to understand and defend the Investigative Judgment.

Ready to become an apologist for Christ?

ADLA works with leaders of our church, such as elders, evangelists, and others, who believe in the mission of the church and are solid believers in the scriptures and the Three Angel’s Messages. We want to train members in deep theology and apologics to make sure they are “ready to give an answer” to anyone who asks about their faith” (1 Peter 3:15). Will you be ready?

We’re hiring: Would you like to teach with the Advent Defense League Academy? We’d love to interview you! Contact us today.

THE NEED

Many sincere Adventists have been confused and discouraged by the various arguments of critics for the past few years.

THE VISION

We envision a global church whose members are fully equipped with the knowledge necessary to defend their faith and spread the Three Angel’s Messages.

REVIEWS

Jonsaba Jabbi

“Training with the Advent Defense League Academy has helped strengthen my faith and prepare me to meet objections. I feel confident that as I share my faith I can provide answers that will help people draw closer to Jesus.”

I took a one month training with ADLA and found the teachings to be challenging yet biblically solid. My faith and confidence has increased and I look forward to being able to share what I’ve learned with people I want to win to Christ.

Chen Columna-Hood

Just want to say that I have learned so much here from all angles, and everyone is so respectful and legitimate. I’m so thankful for finding this page and all the people here.

Dave Bass

ADLA has been a blessing and the instructors involved are bible based and Christlike. You can tell this ministry is passionate for training people as Christ’s apologists.

Did Ellen G. White Really Contradict the BibleOver 50 Times?

Critics have long accused Ellen White of contradicting the Bible on numerous occasions in her writings. Despite the various responses provided by the church, it seems the same old accusations keep resurfacing. Perhaps we have not gotten to the root of the matter. Is it possible that our critics have not understood some basic, fundamental Bible principles first? If we don’t deal with the critic’s presuppositions, the same accusations will continue to arrive. In this class, Pastor Kevin Morgan does just that, along with, of course, answering each supposed contradiction. Enjoy this training for free!

In Part 2 of the “Spirit of Prophecy” module, Pastor Kevin Morgan shares how to critically analyze accusations against Ellen G. White, particularly 50 of the most popular ones you’ll find on the internet. Clicking on the video will open up a new tab to Facebook where this and other resources are located.

NEW CLASS STARTING IN JANUARY 2024!

Ready to start? Our one-month intensive training begins in January 2024 (see early bird special below). To register for this class there are a few requirements:

  • Must be baptized Seventh-day Adventists in good standing: Our school seeks to go beyond the basics, and we hire instructors to train students in deep theology like they would train their students at the university level. For this reason, students should be baptized members of the church in good standing for a minimum of three months, having already received basic bible studies.
  • Must possess a desire to grow in Christ and win souls: ADLA is seeking individuals who desire to strengthen their faith, teach the Word and prayerfully win souls. Do you want to know how to defend your faith? Are you interested in being able to answer tough questions while engaged in Bible studies? Would you love to know the Word better? Than this training is for you!
  • Must be Christlike: It goes without saying, but ADLA takes very seriously the trainings we provide, so students are expected to demonstrate professionalism, a Christlike spirit, and participation in all class lectures and activities.
  • Dedication: Classes take place from Sunday-Thursday, in the evenings at 6:30 PM EST. Students are expected to be on time for each class unless there are unexpected emergencies. Please prepare for this accordingly, and keep in mind the time zone.
  • Fees and Policies: Though the Advent Defense League is a non-profit organization, ADLA (Advent Defense League Academy) operates as a separate entity, and the registration fee is used to support its mission and pay our instructors.
Registration Fee: $150 USD per student. Early Bird Special is $99 USD if registered by August 2023.
